My album update!
Well I have officially finished my first record! The fact that I can say I have a record is a dream come true to me but not possible if it weren't for you guys. The whole process is so much fun and very therapeutic, most of my friends are amazing musically so to step into that for a while has been an incredible experience for me. All of my fans have been showing me an insane amount of support during this time for me, along with a couple of parents :) and so for that I thank you. Honestly during every session in the studio all I kept saying is "Oh, I hope they like this!" or "I hope they can relate to this"you all were in my mind during this time!I think im going to be a little kid running home to his parents showing them my art project when this comes out saying "Do you like it, do you like it?!?!" so in advance I apologize haha Also I just wrapped up my album art work about 2 weeks ago which was SO cool... I wish I could show you some of the pictures but lets just say this, every time I walked out of my dressing room my mom would look at me and say "Wow. Selena you would never wear that anywhere else" plus there were some pretty cool guys that joined me ;) Now I'm starting band rehearsals with some awesome guys. We will be working really, really hard together to try and make an awesome concert for you guys! I'm so excited for this to come out! I'm getting really impatient!There are a few things I would like to clear up if thats ok, because this is my first record I want it to be fun, energetic, empowering but very good so with that said I did not write any of the songs but one on the record. It was one of the last songs I recorded and it is definitely one of my favorites. Im still new and still figuring out where I want to be musically but I think this is a good start...hopefully. Now, for those of you who are even considering purchasing myrecord promise me this, once it is in your hands or illegally downloaded, you will go into your room, car, house, school or your best friends cousins aunts house turn the volume up really, really loud sit down and if you do not get a sudden urge to get up and dance, scream, yell or move whatsoever, I have failed.

Hey Guys!

I just thought I would touch base with you to let you know how my musical journey has been going. I have had one of the greatest challenges of my life. I love every bit of it. I realize this is not my element. There will always be people who doubt you. But, I also realize I have tons of support from my fans. I thank you for that. This is something I thought long and hard about. I know I will regret NOT doing this. I am giving it a shot. I am filming my journey through this so you can see how hard I am working to do my best. If you like what the end product sounds like great, see you at my shows and I hope you have a blast listening to my album. If you don’t well, I can’t please everyone, no one can! What I hope my fans learn from my journey is that you should not ever let anyone bring you down or stop you from trying something you want to do. You will be the one who will live with regret not them. I am going through change, growth and failure just like everyone else except my is open for public scrutiny. Not everything you try in life is a major success. I will be in an intense boot camp when I return to LA in music. I have taken my time to find my sound, I have worked hard and about to work even harder. Anybody who tries to bring me down only inspires me. I think that goes for a lot of people in the public eye. I have been blessed to work with some amazing people. Even though I love my fans and work hard for them some things I do for myself as well. As an artist you don’t grow unless you try and challenge yourself. Even some of the greatest actors and singers still train. Life is about growing not about settling. I get back to LA soon and when I am closer to my album release (which is tentatively scheduled for Sept) I will release my web series “Under Pressure” to let you take this journey with me. I will struggle at some things and you will see that. I will succeed at things that you will see that. I would like to thank the people that are willing to give me this chance and all the support I have received. I will never be able to express how much that has meant to me. I look forward to sharing a very venerable time in my life!

May 21st, a good day :)

The one thing i love about being connected with my fans is that i can grow with you guys.
we are all going through lots of the same things
and i love that i can relate to all of you.
there is one thing that kind of hurts if i may share with you guys, a word that no one should be called when they are growing is... hypocrite.
my reasoning behind me disliking this word is because i believe we are all changing, growing and learning new things about ourselves everyday. I dont know about you guys but i feel like a complete different person from when i was 13, 14, and 15 and im pretty sure this feeling will occur again.
Things that we may have liked or loved 1 year ago may be things we wont ever mention again and don't want to either.
I remember when i was 12 telling my friends i would never ever wear dresses because i thought they were too prissy. Now I own more floral dresses than pants. Or how i hated mustard and gagged at the sight of it, now I will not touch a hotdog without it. I also said that I would never fall in love until i was much older to really understand the word.....
I am trailing off but my question for you guys is what have you said that may be completely different now? Its an interesting conversation starter I must say
The bummer about that part for me is i kind of get documented saying it..........
The number one thing in my life besides my family and friends is you guys and my job..
and I would love the chance to grow and CHANGE with you of course, that is if you allow me to...
if you give me that chance i will be forever grateful.
